Siding prep by type
Cedar lap siding
scrape and sand loose paint, prime bare cedar with a stain-blocking primer so tannins don't bleed through, then two finish coats.
T1-11 plywood panels
the bottom edges and the grooves take the most water. We check for delaminated plywood, replace bad panels, seal the bottom edge, then back-brush paint into the grooves.
Fascia and trim
rot is common at fascia ends and window sills. Bad sections are replaced before painting.

Decks and stairs
